Paint-Right Painting, PRP Home Services & PRP Junk Removal: What’s the Difference?

Kathy Wright • September 20, 2026

You may have noticed a few different names around our website and wondered how they all fit together. The short answer is that Paint-Right Painting, PRP Home Services, and PRP Junk Removal are all part of the same family-owned business.

As our services expanded beyond painting, we introduced new names to better reflect the full scope of work we now offer. Here's a quick look at what each one means and which part of the business is the best fit for your project.

How Paint-Right Painting Grew Into More Than Painting

Paint-Right Painting was founded close to 40 years ago near Chicago, Illinois with a focus on residential painting and quality workmanship. When our family moved to Washington state, we brought that same experience and approach with us.

Over the years, we found that a good painting project often involves more than paint alone. Damaged drywall may need to be repaired first. Exterior trim may need carpentry work. Siding, gutters, or other surfaces may need cleaning or maintenance before the final finish goes on.

As we gained experience handling more of that surrounding work, our services gradually expanded beyond painting. Today, we can help homeowners with a much wider range of repair, maintenance, and property-improvement projects while still offering the painting services that started it all.

What Is PRP Home Services?

PRP Home Services is a DBA of Paint-Right Painting, created to represent our broader range of home maintenance and repair services.

These services include drywall repair, carpentry and trim repair, gutter cleaning and gutter guard installation, pressure washing, selective demolition, yard maintenance, and interior and exterior painting.

Homeowners can hire us for a single project or combine several services when more than one type of work is needed. We also offer our customizable All-In-One Home Maintenance Program for homeowners who want help keeping up with recurring seasonal and preventive maintenance throughout the year.

What Is PRP Junk Removal?

PRP Junk Removal is also a DBA of Paint-Right Paitning, with services focused specifically on removing unwanted items, debris, and materials from homes and properties.

We provide full-service junk removal, estate cleanouts, yard debris removal, construction debris removal, and dumpster trailer rentals. Depending on the project, we can handle the loading and hauling for you or provide a trailer that can be filled on your schedule and picked up when you're finished.

PRP Junk Removal can also work alongside PRP Home Services when a larger project involves both cleanup and repair or maintenance. For exmaple, a yard cleanup, demolition project, or property cleanout may involve several services working together.

Where Does Paint-Right Painting Fit In?

Paint-Right Painting remains the licensed, bonded, and insured company. behind both PRP Home Services and PRP Junk Removal.

Painting is still an important part of what we do, but the business has grown beyond the services reflected in the original Paint-Right Painting name. The PRP Home Services and PRP Junk Removal names help make those additional offerings easier to understand while keeping them connected to the company that started it all.

By late April and early May, Western Washington begins to see a shift in the weather. The heavier winter rains have eased up, temperatures are getting warmer and more consistent, and everything outside is beginning to grow again. At the same time, it’s common to look around the yard and feel like things didn’t quite get the attention they needed earlier in the season. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many homeowners find themselves only partway through their spring yard cleanup or still waiting for the right time to get started. Between wet conditions, busy schedules, and the sheer amount of debris that builds up over the winter, it’s easy for cleanup to get delayed. The good news is that you haven’t missed your window. Whether you’re starting fresh or picking up where you left off, this point in the season is a practical time to get everything into shape before late spring growth really takes off. A focused spring yard cleanup now can go a long way toward improving how your yard looks, drains, and grows over the next few months. Whether you’re catching up on what winter left behind or finishing the last few steps of your spring yard cleanup checklist, this is a practical time to reset your outdoor space and set yourself up for a smoother, more manageable season ahead.
